Sound Decisions was born in March of 1989, the vision of a young music enthusiast, Keith Register. As Keith approached graduation from college in late 1988, he knew he wanted a career rooted in audio and technology. Shortly after graduating, he opened the doors to Sound Decisions, turning his passion into a business built on quality, trust, and performance.

Not long after, Eric Robertson joined the team, and together they began a decades-long journey helping clients navigate the ever-evolving world of audio, video, and home technology. Over the years, Sound Decisions has grown alongside the industry itself, expanding from two-channel audio into surround sound, home theaters, digital audio, flat-panel televisions, lighting control, motorized shades, and whole-home automation. True to their hands-on philosophy, many of the products offered have been personally tested in their own homes—earning approval not just from Keith and Eric, but from their families as well. The best solutions often became permanent fixtures.

Today, Sound Decisions enters an exciting new chapter. The company has been acquired by SoundVision, a technology integration firm based in Mooresville, North Carolina. This new partnership brings together two teams that share the same core values: craftsmanship, education, service, and long-term client relationships. We are thrilled about what this collaboration makes possible and excited to see the innovation, creativity, and elevated experiences that will come from working together.
